Risk MANAGEMENT - TWO DAY SEMINAR

This training will provide you with basic knowledge of risk management. This is a highly interactive training. You will work on a risk identification, ranking and mitigation case study withing a multidisciplinary team. 

The focus will be industrial environment however next to the technological, technical, health and safety risks we will touch upon other risks such as organizational, political, commercial and economical. Whatever activity you do it is normally associated with a process or a project. So we will learn about managing both process and project risks using the state of the art methodologies.  

Teaching material is also provided for the participants:

- Few articles about risk management.

- Links of video material for the background information prior to the training. 

At the end of the lecture you will acquire the following skills:

► Understanding the difference between hazard and risk. 

► Understanding the concepts of risk recognition, evaluation, control and monitoring. 

► Understanding the concepts of Risk Assessment Matrix (RAM) 

► Understanding the basics of qualitative and quantitative approach of risk management. 

► Understanding the basics of Bow Tie, Swiss Cheese, Root Cause Analysis and other methodologies. 

► Understanding the basics of Health Safety Security Environment – Work Process. 

► Understanding the basics of Learning from Incidents Process 

The main objective is to perform a simulation of an “hand on” experience of the risk assessment and risk mitigation process. This will be achieved by working on an industrial “case-study” in an interactive fashion. You will actively participate in all phases of the risk management  process. 

This two-day training offers useful methods, tools and techniques for mastering the basic risk assessment skills. You will learn from real-case examples from high risk industries (e.g. nuclear, chemicals, oil&gas, pharmacy etc.) 

► Each of the participants will receive preparatory material to help them more effectively adopt and apply knowledge at the seminar.

► Lunch and refreshments are provided for participants.

► Applications are open up to two working days before the training.

► The number of participants is limited.

In case of additional wishes and needs for topics beyond our standard program, we are available for all types of cooperation for which we can offer a competent service.
